Marie-Claire Marcotte est une écrivaine, metteuse en scène, réalisatrice, actrice et productrice originaire de Regina, Saskatchewan, basée à Tkarón:to / Toronto, Ontario. Elle est diplômée de l'École Internationale de Comédie à Reggio Emilia en Italie et du programme de théâtre au Collège George-Brown à Toronto. Elle a participé à des résidences au Canada, en Belgique, en France et en Martinique. Sa scénarisation a été reconnue notamment au Los Angeles Film Awards, aux prix Écrans canadiens et à la Webfest Berlin. En 2024, elle a réalisé son premier long métrage, Rêver en néon, inspiré de sa pièce de théâtre Flush et de son court métrage Goût d’un mensonge.

Marie-Claire Marcotte is a writer, director, actress and producer from Regina, Saskatchewan, based in Tkarón:to / Toronto, Ontario. She is a graduate of the International School of Comedy in Reggio Emilia, Italy and the theatre program at George-Brown College in Toronto. She has participated in residencies in Canada, Belgium, France and Martinique. Her screenwriting has been recognized at the Los Angeles Film Awards, the Canadian Screen Awards and Webfest Berlin, among others. In 2024, she directed her first feature film, Rêver en néon, inspired by her play Flush and her short film Goût d’un mensonge.
